First thing is first...

Welcome newbie, to GW2 Farm. This is your beginners guide to farming GW2. Now, you've reached level 80 and realized a lot of the gear you want to buy is pretty costly. Well, with this guide making gold will be no problem.

First thing's first... you will want to bookmark the website listed below:

When you click that link you will have to choose your server you play on. This will give you approximate times for all the 'Meta Events'.

What is a 'Meta Event' ?

It's what everyone is farming, because each one gives you a chest with little effort. It's basically a world event that everyone needs to attend, usually with a boss and at the end a chest containing at least one rare with the possibilities of exotics and even a pre-cursor.

*Note: You can only do Meta Events once per day per char FOR THE CHEST; you may do them again if you wish for the karma. Also, to clarify things, Magic Find DOES NOT affect chests... only mob kills. That was stated by Anet themselves and is fact.

Okay, so you got your timer, now you need to make sure you get all the important WPs (Waypoints) where those Meta Events take place. I will be listing the Dragons, Frozen Maw, Shadow Behemoth, Fire Elemental & Jungle Worm. More will be added later.

The Shatterer
Pretty easy dragon, also has a pre-event before he pops.
Map, WP:
Blazeridge Steppes, Lowland Burns

Tequatl the Sunless
He's fairly easy, with no pre-event. Don't stand in the poison clouds... -.-
Map, WP:
Sparkfly Fen, Splintered Coast

Claw of Jormag
This guy is probably the hardest one of all the dragons, has a pre-event and takes quite awhile to kill.
Map, WP:
Frostgorge Sound, Frostwalk Tundra or Earthshake Basin. (Both basically same distance).

Lower Level Events:
The Frozen Maw
Very easy, has a pre-event you need to activate by speaking to 'Scholar Brogun' inside the Lodge.
Map, WP:
Wayfarer Foothills, Hunter's Lake
Shadow Behemoth
This guy has a pre-event, again this guy is pretty easy.
Map, WP:
Queensdale, Phinney Ridge, Godslost & Swamplost Haven. (There's 3, all basically same distance).

Fire Elemental
Contains pre-event, pretty easy.
Map, WP:
Metrica Province, Muridian WP
Jungle Worm
Contains pre-event, fairly easy.
Map, WP:
Caledon Forst, Twilight Arbor, Lionguard Waystation & Falias Thorp. (Basically same distance, your pick).

Awesome! you now have at least 6 easy chests you can farm a day, per char. Obviously, you should be doing these on a level 80 to get the best results. I will be adding others shortly, but this is only the first part to your farming routine. If you want to make the most gold then follow the second part by clicking here.
